Want to learn kickboxing from a MMA fighter?  Steve Baker will be here on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45pm-4:45pm!  Learn how to defend yourself while getting fit and having fun!  No experience or registration necessary.  Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.  All supplies provided.

Best suited for ages 6+.  Adults and siblings welcome.

Adults 18 and up enjoy a flurry of books. Beginning Monday, January 4, pick up a reading log at the library or download a reading log from https://laurel.lib.de.us/adultservices/. Read ten books, audiobooks, e-books, and/or e-audiobooks and fill in each snowflake on your reading log with the title and author.  Turn in your completed form for a chance to win one of three cozy gift baskets.  Entries are due by 5 PM on Friday, February 28.  The drawing will take place on Monday, March 3.

Description:

Home School Students (ages 6 and up), join us for a special program just for you.  Discover who you are as an artist while trying new projects.  This class will have a different theme each month.   Learn about the artists and then make your own masterpiece!

 

*Due to the expense of materials and the popularity of these programs, after two no-shows without advance notice, you will be placed on the wait list. If you are unable to attend a program you have signed up for, please let your librarian know as soon as possible so that we can make your seat available to someone else*.

 

Bio: Patty Eskridge is a former Elementary Education teacher who has taught several grades and subjects. Among them were 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades, Gifted and Talented for grades 3rd – 5th, and Multiage 1st – 3rd. In 2016, she retired and followed her dream to become an artist. Since then, she has served as a design team member for The Crafter’s Workshop stencil company, been profiled in ART Journaling magazine, and had her art and articles published in several magazines including ART Journaling, Somerset Studio, and Green Craft. Her artwork has appeared twice on the covers of ART Journaling magazine. She resides in Laurel with her husband Jeff. They often visit their daughter and her family in North Carolina, including their 2 wonderful granddaughters.
